Mactorran Studios Presents — Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

When you submit a film, we collect the information you provide, which may include filmmaker name, email, optional phone number, optional website or profile information, film details, private screener URL, optional screener password, trailer and promotional links, and other submission notes. We also store the four acknowledgements made with the submission.

For abuse prevention and security, the application may process basic request information and store a one-way hashed version of an IP address rather than the raw address with a submission. Viewer profiles may include a display name, username, email address, avatar, hero image, Watchlist, and account-connection status. Administrator accounts include account information and a securely hashed password. Viewer and administrator access use session cookies.

Connected filmmakers may choose to publish a professional profile, availability, an explicitly entered professional email, and an explicitly selected website. Mullach does not automatically publish the email used to sign in. People contacting a filmmaker through Mactorran Studios provide their name, reply email, optional company or project, inquiry reason, subject, and message. These private inquiries are stored for delivery inside the intended filmmaker’s dashboard and for limited administrator abuse or support oversight.

When films and trailers are viewed, Mullach records limited audience activity such as film-detail views, trailer starts, film starts, periodic playback progress, active watch time, completion, and Watchlist changes. Signed-in activity may be associated internally with the account’s stable identifier. Signed-out activity uses an opaque browser-session identifier. These identifiers are converted to one-way hashes for counting and are not shown to filmmakers. Raw IP addresses are not stored for analytics; a one-way IP hash may be used to limit obvious automated or abusive event traffic.

If rentals or purchases are enabled, Stripe processes payment details. Mullach stores transaction amounts, film and account references, entitlement dates, refund status, and safe Stripe object identifiers. Mullach does not receive or store full card numbers or card security codes. A payment method is made available for reuse only when you explicitly choose to save it; Mullach records the consent version and may display limited details such as card brand, last four digits, and expiration date.

For administrator support and service oversight, Mullach keeps up to five recent page visits for signed-in users, associated with their Mactorran Studios account, with page paths and timestamps. This separate record replaces older visits as new visits arrive. It excludes search terms, URL query strings, login tokens, and private checkout or company record identifiers. Only authorized Mullach administrators can view this history; it is not included in filmmaker or company analytics. It does not track browsing on other websites.

2. How we use information

We use information to receive and privately evaluate film submissions, communicate with filmmakers, administer submission decisions, operate and secure the service, prevent duplicate or abusive requests, manage films and screenings, troubleshoot problems, and meet reasonable legal or administrative needs.

Private screener information is used for private submission review. Optional screener passwords are encrypted by the application before storage. Encryption reduces risk but does not make any system absolutely secure.

Professional inquiry information is used to deliver the message to the selected filmmaker, allow the sender and recipient to communicate using the sender-supplied reply address, moderate abuse, and secure the service. This version does not send inquiry email notifications.

Viewing activity is used to operate playback, understand aggregate film performance, provide filmmakers with totals and trends, prevent duplicate or abusive counting, and improve the service. Filmmaker dashboards receive aggregate measures such as views, unique viewers, watch starts, completion rate, watch time, and Watchlist adds. They do not receive viewer names, emails, usernames, account identifiers, IP addresses, or individual watch histories.

Payment records are used to confirm access, prevent duplicate charges, provide viewer receipts and purchase history, calculate filmmaker earnings and platform fees, process refunds, handle disputes, and meet financial recordkeeping obligations. Filmmakers receive their own film-level sales and earnings information, not a buyer’s card details.

3. Service providers and external services

Information may be processed by hosting, database, infrastructure, and other service providers needed to operate the site. The current database is hosted through Supabase. Stripe processes test and, if separately enabled after review, live payments and connected-account payouts under its own privacy practices. Public films may use embedded video providers such as YouTube or Vimeo. Those providers may receive technical information when their player loads and handle it under their own privacy practices.

Sign-in, account creation, and other links may lead to the main Mactorran Studios website or another external service. Presents uses your existing Mactorran Studios account through a secure sign-in handoff. It reads your existing profile and uses an HTTP-only session cookie to recognize you. Signing out of Presents ends that Presents session; your main-site session is managed separately.

4. How we share information

We do not make private submission details or screener passwords available on public routes. Information may be shared with service providers that help operate the service, with people authorized to review or administer submissions, when directed by the submitter, or when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate abuse, or secure the service.

5. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the current service, including restricted administrator access, password hashing for administrator accounts, application-level encryption for screener passwords, server-side validation, and abuse-prevention controls. No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

6. Retention and deletion

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to evaluate and administer submissions, provide aggregate viewing analytics, operate and secure the service, maintain necessary records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Retention may differ by record type and submission status. Raw viewing events may later be summarized into daily aggregate records and removed or de-identified when the detailed records are no longer reasonably needed.

7. Your choices

You may choose not to provide optional submission fields. You may request withdrawal of a pending submission or ask a privacy question by contacting us. Browser controls can clear cookies, although doing so may sign you out of your viewer or administrator session. Requests may be limited where information must reasonably be retained for security, legal, or administrative purposes.

8. Children’s privacy

The service is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate authorization. If you believe a child provided personal information improperly, contact us so the situation can be reviewed. Filmmakers should not submit personal information about minors unless they are authorized to do so.

9. Changes and contact
